Open Call HORIZON-MISS-2022-CANCER-01-04: Towards the Creation of a European Cancer Patient Digital Centre

The overall goal of the Mission on Cancer[1] and the Europe's Beating Cancer Plan[2] includes a better quality of life for patients and their families living with, and after, cancer.

Project results will support the creation of a virtual European Cancer Patient Digital Centre (ECPDC), which is a federated network of patient controlled (national) health data infrastructures enabling the voluntary exchange of patients and survivors' health data in a standardised approach, for primary and secondary use.

EUR 36 Million EU Funding Available to Connect Europe Digitally

The 2020-2 Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) Telecom call for proposals is now open, making €36 million available to stimulate and support the deployment of European Digital Service Infrastructures (DSIs) in eight areas. CEF Telecom funding supports projects of common interest that improve the daily life of citizens, businesses and public administrations and contribute to the development of a Digital Single Market by deploying European digital infrastructures across the EU.

Open Call SC1-DTH-12-2020: Use of Real-World Data to Advance Research on the Management of Complex Chronic Conditions

The number of people with chronic illness is growing and almost half of them have multiple chronic conditions. Patients with complex chronic conditions (CCCs) have chronic multi-morbidities or chronic disease complications that require the attention of multiple health care providers or facilities as well as home-based care.

Call for Tenders: Studies on eHealth, Interoperability of Health Data and Artificial Intelligence for Health and Care in the EU

The European Commission is launching a tender for two studies to survey and analyse progress on the digital transformation of the health and care in the EU, in particular with regard to citizens' access to their electronic health records (EHR) in the EU Member States and the development, adoption and use of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies in the health and care sector in the EU.

Digital solutions supporting a continuum of care across a range of health and care services can relieve the pressure on governments to provide more cost-effective health and care systems by improving utilisation of healthcare and health outcomes. In this context the challenges are to network, lead and facilitate health systems research, innovation and digitisation in view of addressing key areas of interventions in health and care services including health promotion and disease prevention.
