A group of healthcare technology providers comprising Intel, Oracle and Orion Health, announced plans to pilot at the Hospital Universitario Son Dureta in Palma de Mallorca, Spain, the use of the new Motion C5 mobile clinical assistant (MCA) platform.
Using RFID technology, integrated into the MCA, to read patient wristbands, the doctor or nurse will be able to access patient information such as demographics and clinical results (e.g. blood tests, scans etc).
