Siemens Medical Solutions Diagnostics announces enhanced liver fibrosis test for Europe

Siemens Medical Solutions Diagnostics announced the availability of its Enhanced Liver Fibrosis (ELF) test, the first CE-marked, standardized non-invasive blood test for assessing the status of liver fibrosis. The Siemens ELF test was first validated in an international multicenter cohort study and is now available through iQur, Ltd., Southampton, UK, as a testing service for patient management.
European eGovernment Awards 2007 - 53 Finalists Selected

53 cases have been selected as finalists for the third successive European eGovernment Awards, organised by the European Commission. All applicants have been invited to exhibit at the Ministerial eGovernment Conference 2007 on 19-21 September in Lisbon. In addition the 53 selected cases are invited to participate in the Workshop for Finalists on 26-27 July hosted by the European Commission in Brussels and organised by the European eGovernment Awards Consortium.
Commission launches consultation on responsible nano research

The ICT for Health Unit of Directorate-General Information Society and Media is in the process of drafting a Recommendation which outlines a set of recommended guidelines for good practice on eHealth interoperability. This draft Recommendation is submitted for informal public consultation.
The overarching notion is of a European service space in which, and through which, European citizens and their designated health professionals can access the necessary health services.
iSOFT becomes VAR for Motion's C5 Mobile Clinical Assistant

iSOFT has signed a worldwide agreement with Motion Computing to become the first UK-based solutions reseller for Motion's C5 Mobile Clinical Assistant (MCA).
Launched in February, the Motion C5 is the first product based on Intel's MCA platform. iSOFT was involved in the main UK trial of the mobile device at Salford Royal NHS Foundation trust and has since seen huge interest in the product.
SINCERE Project in the Field of eHealth
