The country-specific insight and data are based on the comprehensive telephone-based research study Taking the Pulse® Europe v5.0, conducted among more than 1,000 European practicing physicians. In today's world of fragmented media and channel mix, it is increasingly difficult to isolate the information sources used by consumers to research health information and inform healthcare decision making. This is especially the case across Europe, where consumers are accessing an expanding range of resources which vary greatly by country and by region.

In what could prove to be a turning point in diagnosis and therapy for millions of patients suffering from neurological diseases, stroke and cancer, Siemens Medical Solutions showed a prototype for the worlds first fully-functioning imaging system capable of performing simultaneously Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and Positron Emission Tomography (PET). Testing of this new prototype MR-PET will start before the end of 2007. With this contract, Telemedicine Clinic will be the largest PET/CT centre in Europe. Thanks to high case volumes, it will be possible to build up a sub specialised reporting solution with very skilled medical experts.
