Siemens Healthcare has developed a revolutionary new X-ray tube and detector technology for its Artis Q and Artis Q.zen angiography systems to improve minimally invasive therapy of diseases such as coronary artery disease, stroke and cancer. In both the Artis Q and Artis Q.zen series, the new X-ray tube can help to identify small vessels up to 70 percent better than conventional X-ray tube technology.
Carestream Health has signed a contract to supply their latest RIS/PACS solution to both Taunton and Somerset NHS Foundation Trust and Yeovil District Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. Given the choice of procurement options and collaborations available to procure the replacement IT solution, the Trusts decided to work collaboratively in sourcing their preferred PACS/RIS solution and opted to use the NHS Supply Chain Framework to purchase these from Carestream.
