The European Commission has announced the launch of new Horizon Europe calls, with a substantial funding pool of over €112 million. These calls are aimed primarily at pioneering projects in the realms of artificial intelligence (AI) and quantum technologies.
This includes substantial funding of €50 million fund to advance large AI models by integrating new data modalities and expanding their capabilities.
EMRAM - the Electronic Medical Record Adoption Model - assesses a health facility's adoption and maturity of its digital capabilities.
Dr Sergei Sokolovski of the University's Aston Institute of Photonic Technologies has been awarded €317,500 to work on a European-wide project.
Called BETTER (Better real-world health data distributed analytics research platform) the spans16 academic, medical and industrial partners.
