IBM Security Launches New Capabilities to Help Clients with Impending EU General Data Protection Regulation
IBM (NYSE: IBM) has announced new incident response capabilities, from its IBM Resilient security portfolio, to help companies address the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). These capabilities are designed to help clients rehearse, prepare for and manage the new regulations. GDPR is one of the biggest changes in data privacy law in decades which goes into effect on May 25, 2018. 
With their joint research alliance, Siemens Healthineers and the Fraunhofer Institute for Medical Image Computing MEVIS will support physicians in finding the right course of therapy for their patients. Both partners are jointly developing artificial intelligence software systems to facilitate diagnosis and therapy decisions with the help of advanced data integration, comprehensive databases, and automatic recognition of patterns and regularities in data (deep machine learning). 
Recently published advancements in pulmonary research suggest that the combination of non-invasive ventilation (NIV) and home oxygen therapy (HOT) can significantly prolong time to readmission or death for patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) following a life-threatening respiratory event or exacerbation.
