Bulgaria Issues First Electronic Health Cards

Bulgaria is issuing its first electronic health cards as part of the pilot project of the Ministry of Health and the National Health Insurance Fund (NHIF). The pilot project for the nationwide introduction of an electronic health card was launched in February 2007 and is implemented by ICW, the international eHealth specialist, in cooperation with Cisco and Kontrax.
