Frost & Sullivan recently presented its 2006 Medical Imaging Growth Award and 2005 Award for Excellence in Technology to Siemens Medical Solutions. This solution offers more than 250 percent improvement in volumetric spatial resolution for PET imaging, which permits very small crystal elements to be assembled and efficiently incorporated into the PET/CT scanner design.
