Stalis and IPROS CUBE Collaborate to Support Quality Service Improvements Across all Healthcare Settings

Stalis and IPROS CUBE have announced a partnership to launch a Patient Experience feedback module. This new solution will bring together a blend of technology expertise for healthcare providers to manage, monitor and analyse online patient experience surveys to support performance measurements and delivery of quality service improvements in line with government targets.

The Patient Experience module allows patients to provide confidential feedback, via an online questionnaire which is tailored to the requirements of the healthcare provider. The results can be measured against the Department of Health's quality care targets such as Commissioning for Quality and Innovation (CQUIN) and Patient Reported Outcome Measures (PROMS), whilst also being benchmarked against NICE standards.

With patient safety under intense scrutiny following the recent Francis report, which investigated extremely poor care conditions at Mid-Staffordshire NHS Foundation Trust, the Patient Experience module offers a simple cost-effective means to manage and monitor patient experience surveys and results. This will support healthcare providers in the delivery of flexible, high-quality, evidence-based services whilst continuously monitoring performance against compliance targets, leading to a more patient-centric NHS.

The partnership will enable patients to provide feedback online by bringing together IPROS CUBE Assured Compliance service, which allows healthcare providers to design patient surveys specific to their auditing requirements, and Stalis' CareInform solution which integrates survey results to a single patient data repository. Furthermore, this method will reduce manual data handling activities, leading to less administration for healthcare professionals.

Christine Whitehouse, managing director at Stalis said: "With a drive towards patient empowerment in a more consumer-orientated NHS, there is a clear requirement for an integrated electronic patient feedback solution to ensure healthcare providers meet care quality standards.

"We saw this collaboration as a key move towards a clearer understanding of patient's expectations and the actual quality of care. This is represented through the patient's ability to give honest feedback via a confidential internet survey, moving away from a paper-based questionnaire, meaning more accurate results for healthcare providers. Linking these results to our CareInform solution ultimately offers healthcare providers a detailed insight into performance management in an ever-demanding health service."

Rob Anderson, managing director at IPROS CUBE said: "Integrating our Assured Compliance with Stalis' CareInform solution provides trusts with a single point of use for monitoring and analysing current, reliable, relevant and sufficient evidence of compliance, ensuring the NHS is more accountable to patient requirements.

"Through this partnership, we know we can provide value to the NHS and that's why we wanted to work with Stalis, an organisation who has valuable healthcare expertise and a strong track record of integrating different technologies successfully for NHS trusts."

The cloud-based solution offers a single point-of-access for all compliance documentation, presenting a wide and effective view across all quality metrics, immediately accessible to healthcare professionals via real time dashboards. Integration to current operational structures and patient record systems is flexible and adaptable to individual healthcare provider needs, whilst information is governed by pseudonymised links to patient data so confidentiality is maintained at all times.
