East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust Successfully Go Live with Ascribe Web Pharmacy

AscribeAscribe announced the successful 'Go Live' and implementation of the company's Web Pharmacy solution at two hospital sites for East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust. One of which, Burnley General Hospital, was the first Ascribe Pharmacy customer in 1991.

East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust's upgrade to Ascribe's latest web based pharmacy solution provides a clinically rich platform for growth and improvements to patient safety.

Ruth Townson, Senior Pharmacist for Support Services acted as Project Manager on behalf of East Lancashire and worked closely with Ascribe's Operations team to ensure that patient records and drug tables were successfully migrated to the new platform.

Neil Fletcher, Clinical Director of Pharmacy at East Lancashire stated: "Ascribe's Web Pharmacy is very powerful clinical tool that can deliver real safety benefits to our patients, in addition to this; it has integration and reporting capabilities that we can use to deliver additional gains as we develop and further enhance our healthcare IT systems."

Stephen Critchlow, CEO of Ascribe stated, "It is fantastic to see our first pharmacy customer, from over 20 years ago, continue to develop their Trust with Ascribe solutions, furthering their capabilities and improving patient care."
