Voice Technologies Launches WinVoicePro

Digital dictation specialist Voice Technologies has launched its new WinVoicePro software to help NHS organisations reduce turnaround times for letters to patients and clinicians to ensure compliance with the 18-week referral deadline.

Created in collaboration with the NHS in both England and Scotland, WinVoicePro works seamlessly with dictation management software WinScribe to help staff maximise efficiency and cut down on correspondence times.

Letter templates are created through use of an automated system that links with Electronic Patient Records or Patient Administration Systems to save typists' time in formatting templates, with the automatically entered patient information also helping to reduce the risk of error.

A key advantage to WinVoicePro is that all documents are sent electronically for review and sign off, helping to speed up the electronic dispatching process, with the ability to distribute directly to systems such as Docman for recipients to access from any internal or external site, while also saving money on printing and distribution costs and ensuring that sensitive information is kept secure.

Heather Wylie, managing director of Voice Technologies, says: "WinVoicePro provides NHS staff a lean solution to meeting the challenging healthcare targets, with the system offering benefits to doctors, clinicians, typists and, most of all, patients, who receive medical correspondence much sooner.

"With documents being sent electronically for review and sign off either internally or externally, the delays of printing and distributing can be avoided. The system also allows users to connect across multiple sites, meaning that documents can be created at one hospital and immediately sent electronically for approval at another. In addition, we can also work with NHS organisations to tailor the software to suit any specific working practices, making sure that the maximum is achieved from existing resources."
