pHealth 2008 - International Workshop on Wearable Mycro and Nanosystems for Personalised Health

pHealth 2008The 5th edition of the International Workshop on Wearable, Micro and Nano Technologies for the Personalised Health, pHealth 2008 will take place May 21-23 2008, in the Conference Centre of the Polytechnic University of Valencia, in Valencia, Spain. pHealth Workshop is a forum of discussion, networking and experiences exchange about the state of the art and future challenges on nano and micro technologies, wearable and implantable sensors and ICT into personal health management systems.

pHealth Workshop has attained a growing degree of interest and attention of experts from academia, technology research, industry and health care sector, after four successfully editions in Luca 2003, Belfast 2004, Luzern 2006 and Thessaloniki 2007. The 2008 Workshop will bring together thought leaders from all aspects of healthcare and technology to inform, discuss, debate and learn as personalised health paradigm becomes a reality from laboratory to practice to help reshape and transform the care process.

Key topics include advanced research in:

  • Micro and nano sensors.
  • Wearable and implantable systems.
  • Technological trends in ICT solutions for patient self-management.
  • Health and life management and personalised interactions.
  • Business vision and experiences, and implementation viability.

The main Scientific Program will be structured over seven sessions on every key topic and three key note speakers.
