British Publishers Ltd Global eHealth Initiative

British Publishers LtdBritish Publishers Ltd has just completed the second phase of its Global eHealth initiative by hosting an influential round table discussion in Helsinki, Finland. This follows the company's highly successful first event, held in Denmark in September, 2006.

The sessions in Helsinki were attended by both the public and private sector as well as independent eHealth experts, and they were chaired by Hannah Pohanen, the well-respected healthcare consultant based in Finland.

With a significant eHealth procurement programme underway in Finland at the moment, this proved a useful context against which delegates were able to discuss the issues of nationwide storage of patient data and images as well as EBI integrations and the wider issues relating to the advance of technology in the healthcare field.

Now, in an innovative move to bring this valuable discussion to as wide an audience as possible, British Publishers has produced three fascinating ways of viewing the round table events.

Firstly, both events are now available to view as a webinar at Finland Storage and EPR Integration Round Table and Finland eServices Round Table where you can view the discussions as live. Links on the webinar will also take you to relevant websites, where you will find more information about the individual speakers and their specialist involvement in the eHealth sector.

Secondly, each round table has been carefully edited and presented as an easily digestible highlight of the essential discussion points in the attached PDF. The document will serve as a useful insight into the eHealth market based on the debate in Helsinki.

Finally, an edited version of the round table discussions will appear as part of British Publishers' influential eStrategies Europe magazine, due out in February. This will form part of a 40-page special focus on eHealth in Europe for the magazine, which will examine the key issues facing policy makers as well as the private sector in the field of eHealth.

eStrategies Europe is the leading publication covering the regional ICT program in Europe. Readers consist of more than 26,000 C-level executives and Government administrators who administer operations in Europe, as well as top-level officials and national administrators who work in the region.

In addition to its key subscribers, the publication will be exclusively distributed to all delegates at the following events taking place in 2007:

  • HC2007: Challenging Boundaries, 19-21 March 2007, Harrogate, England
  • World Healthcare Congress Europe 2007, 26-28 March 2007, Barcelona
  • eHealth week Berlin, 16-20 April 2007
  • Cross-border eHealth in the Baltic Region, 21-22 May 2007, Stockholm
