HIMSS Europe Webinar: A Patient-centric Holistic Care Approach to Chronic Disease Management

HIMSS Europe17 October 2012, 15:00 CET
There is no doubt that we are experiencing a global healthcare crisis with costs rising uncontrollably and an aging population that is placing an increased burden on already strained healthcare systems. Remote monitoring solutions have the potential to alleviate this burden by allowing providers to monitor patients remotely and empowering patients to better manage their own health. Specifically, chronic disease patients who may be managing multiple diseases can use wirelessly-enabled medical devices to send their biometric data to physicians, care providers or health services companies to track their health trends and avoid acute care settings such as hospitals. Qualcomm Life and S3 Group will discuss each company's technology solutions for the European market, and how they are enabling the next generation of remote monitoring and chronic disease management solutions.

Speakers:

  • Anthony Shimkin, Sr. Director, Qualcomm Life, USA and Europe
  • John Mulcahy, General Manager S3 Group Telehealth, Poland
