New Adverse Incident Reporting System to Reduce Risk of Error and Improve Patient Safety in Denmark
In April 2011, an adverse incident reporting system that operates in Denmark's primary care service will be extended to include secondary care as well. The system, which is being implemented by CSC Healthcare EMEA, has covered primary care since September 2010.
The current process of referring patients for specialty or follow-up care is a notably disjointed process. Typically, all participants in the referrals process must rely on paper, telephone calls and faxes for communication and coordination.
