At ECR 2013 Carestream will demonstrate a new module that displays digital breast tomosynthesis (DBT) exams from DICOM-compliant acquisition devices on its CARESTREAM Vue Mammo Workstation. The workstation also displays traditional mammograms, breast ultrasound, breast MRI and general radiology exams to equip radiologists to work efficiently from a single desktop. Carestream will showcase the latest enhancements to its Vue RIS including the storage and tracking of radiation dose information at ECR 2013. "We are laying the groundwork to support cumulative dose tracking, which is an important patient care initiative worldwide," said Cristine Kao, Carestream's Global Marketing Manager for Healthcare Information Solutions. Carestream will showcase its innovative CS 9300 System, a high-quality cone beam CT (CBCT - 3D imaging) and true panoramic imaging system for ENT and dental indications at the European Congress of Radiology 2013.

On 5 February Her Majesty The Queen officially opened a £3 million MRI suite housing two new GE Healthcare MR scanners at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital, King's Lynn, UK. The facility is expected to help significantly improve local diagnostic facilities for patients.
