Fatebenefratelli Hospital, Milan, Italy Orders Suite of Vue Solutions

CarestreamAfter evaluating other vendors, Fatebenefratelli Hospital, Milan, in the Italian region of Lombardy, has ordered a suite of CARESTREAM Vue solutions to simplify workflow and boost productivity. The 5-year contract also includes a managed service agreement.

The Fatebenefratelli Hospital shares the Milan site with the Macedonio Melloni Opthalmic Hospital, which combined offer 600-beds and undertake 140,000 exams annually. The new solutions will be installed at the Fatebenefratelli Hospital later this year and will allow all radiology and cardiology diagnostic information to be managed via a single web-based solution.

"Carestream was the preferred choice because we offered a unique suite of solutions that covered all the hospital's needs," said Fabio Tigani, Business Development Manager, Healthcare Information Systems for Europe. "What has been particularly appreciated is the latest web distribution functionality, Vue Motion image access and the post processing tools that are fully integrated into the workstation. Moreover, the level of support offered by our managed service agreement was another key factor in differentiating Carestream from the competition."

Solutions to be installed include:

  • Vue RIS to automate the patient's diagnostic journey from order entry to results distribution
  • Vue PACS including lesion management tools that can help enhance accuracy in assessing changes in cancerous lesions as part of diagnosis and treatment for oncology patients
  • Vue Cardiology to consolidate review of echocardiography, cardiac cath, ECG, nuclear cardiology and hemodynamic results with easy comparison of priors
  • Vue Motion, a zero-footprint universal image viewer to provide easy access to imaging data and patient information by on-site or remote clinician.
  • Vendor-neutral Vue Archive consolidates disparate imaging systems into one repository. Combined with Vue Motion it provides secure, real-time imaging access across the enterprise
