LabPON Achieves 100 Percent Digital Diagnosis for Clinical Cases with Philips
Royal Philips (NYSE: PHG, AEX: PHIA) announced that the Netherlands-based LabPON has become the first clinical pathology laboratory in the world to have transitioned completely to digital diagnosis. With this shift, all clinical histology cases are now being assessed and diagnosed digitally with the Philips IntelliSite Pathology Solution instead of with a microscope, leading to improved laboratory efficiency, quality and service levels.

St George's University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in London has become the second and largest trust in the UK to be validated at Stage 6 of the international acute Electronic Medical Record Adoption Model (EMRAM). The trust, which has more than 1,000 beds and serves a population of two million people, is the first site to be accredited following an onsite visit by HIMSS inspectors.
