The DMEA 2025 congress program is set to be a game-changer, with 15 sessions featuring top national and international experts. They will be diving into the latest developments, challenges and opportunities in digital health.

The DMEA congress program is firmly focused on the use of artificial intelligence in healthcare, electronic patient records in everyday care, practical applications of telemedicine and digital doctor-patient communication. Professionals from business, associations, science and medicine will be providing invaluable insights into new developments, best practices from everyday practice and innovative solutions.

Digitalization in the political environment

The German Association of Health IT Vendors - bvitg e. V. will be represented at DMEA 2025 with its own program focus and will address key political decisions for the coming years. In a joint session, gematik and the Federal Ministry of Health will discuss the digitalization strategy 2.0. The COCIR (European Coordination Committee of the Radiology, Electromedicine and Healthcare IT Industry) will provide an insight into European healthcare policy and its impact on the German healthcare system. In their session, Dr Susanne Johna from the Marburger Bund and Matthias Mieves MdB, spokesperson of the SPD parliamentary group for e-health and member of the Health Committee and the Committee for Digital Affairs, will talk about which political decisions will be relevant for the digitalization of the healthcare system in the coming years.

The popular DMEA formats "Schnelle Runde", "eHealth Hotseat" and "Debattierclub" will also feature at DMEA 2025. Here, experts from politics and healthcare will face critical questions from the moderators. Who will convince? Who will fight for every word? DMEA 2025 will show it.

International exchange and promotion of innovation

At DMEA 2025, the international perspective on digital health will be a key focus:

Experts from Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden will provide unparalleled insight into how patient data is used in Scandinavia. A Franco-German panel will take a close look at the respective healthcare systems and discuss what the countries can learn from each other. Berlin Partner will also present "Vision 2035" and discuss how personalised medicine can succeed with the help of supercomputing.

"In this eventful year, we have once again succeeded in putting together an innovative and varied programme. The bvitg e. V. will be represented at DMEA 2025 with numerous programme focal points to discuss key political decisions for the coming years. We are looking forward to the DMEA, its visitors and a lively exchange," says Melanie Wendling, Managing Director of the bvitg.
