Philips and Diagnostics Development win European Union 'Horizon Prize - Better Use of Antibiotics'
Royal Philips (NYSE: PHG, AEX: PHIA), a leader in HealthTech, and Diagnostics Development, a P&M Venge company spin-off from Uppsala University (Sweden), have demonstrated a proof-of-concept for the rapid and reliable detection of bacterial infection. The test is based on Philips' Minicare I-20 handheld diagnostics platform and detects the human neutrophil lipocalin (HNL) biomarker in a single 'finger-prick' drop of blood.
Carestream has signed its first full Clinical Collaboration Platform (CCP) contract with the Ikazia Hospital in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. This milestone agreement is for a period of five years, and is in addition to the PACS Cloud contract already in place with the hospital.
