The City of Bolzano Chooses IBM to Enable New Solutions for Citizens
The City of Bolzano, Italy and TIS Innovation Park have entered into a strategic initiative with IBM (NYSE: IBM), with the aim of creating a smart city. Bolzano, capital of South Tyrol in northern Italy, is the fifth Italian city to choose IBM to identify and design a new model for a sustainable city through a range of digital solutions. During the next few months a pilot project will be implemented for remote health monitoring of the elderly.

The certification was carried out by an authorized team of experts from SAP after having conducted an in-depth audit on the individual functionalities. 
Siemens has entered into a value-added reseller agreement with leading Turkish healthcare solutions company, Simeks Tibbi Sistemler Sanayi ve Ticaret Anonim Sirketi, to sell Soarian MedSuite, Siemens' innovative Hospital Information System (HIS). Simeks has been specifically licensed to sell MedSuite HIS software licenses, services, and support plans to healthcare providers in Turkey. 
The Swedish National Patient Summary solution (known as NPÖ), one of the first of its kind in the world, has received formal acceptance and has been in full production since 1 September, 2009 in Örebro County Council and the Municipality of Örebro.
