CSC Achieves First Lorenzo Regional Care Release 1.9 Deployment

CSCCSC (NYSE: CSC) has announced that its first deployment of Lorenzo Regional Care Release 1.9 (Care Management) went live on 3rd November 2009. The system was delivered under the NHS National Programme for IT, at NHS Bury. Hundreds of clinical and administrative staff across community services at Bury are now using the system to manage their administrative tasks including booking appointments, recording contacts and managing case notes.

CSC, and its alliance partner iSOFT, have worked closely with the Trust to manage the migration from the Trust's previous patient administration system in recent days.

Guy Hains, CSC President, International, said: "We are delighted with this major achievement for CSC and the NHS. The benefits of the solution will help to transform the experience of care that patients receive across the NHS. We will be closely monitoring the deployment at Bury over the coming weeks to ensure the system works well as staff continue to use this on a daily basis. We look forward to working closely with NHS as we progress with this and further successful deployments."

CSC is responsible for implementing the NHS's National Programme for IT across 60 percent of the population in England. Lorenzo (1) is available under the Local Service Provider (LSP) contract to NHS organisations across the North, Midlands and East.

1. "Lorenzo" is a registered trade mark of iSOFT Limited.
