Technology Partnership Between InterComponentWare AG (ICW) and Roche Diabetes Care Results in Launch of Overarching Web-based Solution
ICW technology sits in the center of the new online portal Accu-Chek® Connect which was recently introduced by Roche Diabetes Care. This new web-based solution empowers healthcare professionals and people living with diabetes to ease daily diabetes management. It enables seamless collaboration based on a central information view across blood glucose measurement devices, smartphone-apps, and offline solutions in current use.
Andalusia Health Service has selected Accenture (NYSE:ACN) and Carestream Health to deploy a picture archiving and communications system (PACS) that will allow clinicians to manage, store and share diagnostic imaging data across more than 1,600 healthcare facilities in Spain.
The Future Internet CHallenge eHealth (FICHe) accelerator attracted European eHealth SMEs and startups: In total 308 applications were submitted in a period of 6 weeks. Top three countries are Spain (68 applications), Finland (60 applications), and Netherlands (48 applications). A consortium led by UK healthcare software specialist Shearwater Systems has been awarded £722,000 funding by Innovate UK to help improve the treatment and quality of life of people with epilepsy. Agfa HealthCare announces that the Victoria Community Hospital, part of the Dorset HealthCare University NHS Trust, has replaced its analog X-ray room with a fully automatic DX-D 600 direct radiography (DR) system with MUSICA workstation. The new room, which will offer the local community a vital health resource, was officially opened on 24 September 2014 by the Mayor of Wimborne, Councillor Andy Hampton.
