Philips and Catharina Hospital Sign Technology Agreement for New and Largest Cardiovascular Center in the Netherlands
Royal Philips (NYSE: PHG, AEX: PHIA) and Catharina Hospital (Eindhoven, The Netherlands) have signed an agreement for the installation of Philips' advanced medical technologies in Catharina Hospital's new cardiovascular center, which is currently under construction and due to open its doors in mid-2016. The agreement will give Catharina Hospital access to the latest technologies for the image-guided minimally invasive treatment of patients with cardiovascular disease. 
Visbion has been chosen as the recipient of a government grant via the Innovate UK SMART initiative for a new project entering into the field of synthetic biology. The aim of the project, entitled 'A Comprehensive Web-based Broker for Biotechnology Design and Manufacturing' is to create a method by which synthetic biology designers can efficiently search for tools and component parts for their designs.

Care staff will be able to provide an additional eight hours care each day through automating manual, time consuming processes. 
Leading business support specialist NHS Shared Business Services (NHS SBS) has appointed a new director to head up the provision of its finance and accounting service to NHS client organisations. Stephen Sutcliffe, a former NHS director of finance, with a wealth of experience in both the NHS provider and commissioning sectors, has been appointed as director of finance and accounting.
