Siemens Healthineers has opened its new Education & Development Center (EDC) in Erlangen. The open-plan building offers space for the currently 240 trainees and integrated degree program participants in Erlangen and Forchheim. In addition, the new center houses training courses for customers and in-house specialists around 150 participants and users can be trained daily on medical devices. 
CompuGroup Medical SE & Co. KGaA has acquired 51% of m.Doc GmbH. m.Doc develops patient portals and digital applications for hospitals, rehabilitation and care facilities. Founded in 2016, the company has offices in Cologne and Lisbon with around 110 employees. CompuGroup Medical will further develop m.Doc's patient portal and integrate it into its systems.
