Agfa HealthCare announced that the Admiraal De Ruyter Ziekenhuis (ADRZ) in Goes has become the first hospital in the Netherlands to install its Enterprise Imaging for Radiology solution. ADRZ is a general care hospital with four sites, 170 medical specialists and 2300 employees providing healthcare services in the Zeeland region of the Netherlands.

Panasonic released a video featuring its assist robots, which support the everyday lives of workers and the elderly. The company has applied the advanced control and sensor technologies that it has developed to create a robot equipped with motors that assist human body mechanics. Agfa HealthCare has signed a contract extension with Alliance Medical Ireland, to provide its Enterprise Imaging platform across six sites. The platform will be centralized at a single data center, offering a distributed model that provides high and reliable performance with a potentially reduced total cost of ownership. 
System C and IMMJ Systems have today teamed up to provide full integration of the MediViewer EDM with Medway EPR. The MediViewer EDM solution is built by IMMJ Systems specifically for UK healthcare and aims to deliver a paperless NHS. The fourth quarter top line decline is mainly due to Agfa HealthCare's inventory decisions in the hardcopy film business. These decisions aim to better align the inventory policy at the distributors' level to the current economic situation in certain emerging markets, including China and Latin America. 
The Universitätsklinikum Schleswig-Holstein (UKSH) in Northern Germany, is the first hospital to have embarked upon the Continuity of Care assessment carried out by HIMSS Analytics in Europe.
