Philips Launches Multi-Year Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign
Building on its foundation of fighting breast cancer, Royal Philips Electronics (NYSE: PHG, AEX: PHIA) has announced the launch of a multi-year, global commitment to support Breast Cancer Awareness across all sectors of its business. The campaign aims to raise awareness, support research and inspire and educate women through a range of activities within and outside the organisation, such as expert Q&A sessions and inspiring illuminations.
For a number of years, Carestream's popular Fit For Screening (FFS) workshop has visited Poland. This year's workshop will take place in Warsaw on 19th - 20th October and as usual will be presented by eminent clinician Prof. Dr. Roland Holland of the National Expert and Training Centre for Breast Cancer Screening in Nijmegen, The Netherlands.
Patients of GP practices in North Central London including Enfield, Barnet, Haringey, Camden and Islington will soon start receiving appointment reminders and health information via text message. Already in use by a large number of practices in the area this service aims to improve patient access to GP services, reduce unnecessary visits to A&E as well as informing patients about important NHS services such as cancer screening and seasonal flu immunisation.
