GPs have entered a new era of mobile working with the rollout of software that enables them to carry out patient consultations on any tablet device. After successful pilots with a number of early adopters, the UK's leading GP software provider EMIS has begun making its mobile solution available to GP practices using the company's EMIS Web healthcare system.
Carestream is extending its leadership in the wireless digital radiography market by demonstrating a smaller-format 25 cm x 30 cm CARESTREAM DRX 2530C Detector* as a work in progress. The new cesium iodide detector is designed to offer high efficiency for dose sensitive paediatric, orthopaedic and general radiology exams.
Carestream will show its new DRYVIEW 5950 Laser Imaging System that produces 508 pixels-per-inch output for general radiology and mammography images at ECR 2013. The new imager can support efficient printing and time-saving film cartridges that can benefit healthcare providers of all sizes across the globe.
At ECR 2013 Carestream will demonstrate its new lesion management module as a native oncology follow-up application that can be added for its Vue PACS. This lesion management application will be used to perform semi-automatic quantitative comparisons of historical imaging exams on a Vue PACS workstation.
At ECR 2013 Carestream will demonstrate a new module that displays digital breast tomosynthesis (DBT) exams from DICOM-compliant acquisition devices on its CARESTREAM Vue Mammo Workstation. The workstation also displays traditional mammograms, breast ultrasound, breast MRI and general radiology exams to equip radiologists to work efficiently from a single desktop.
Carestream will showcase the latest enhancements to its Vue RIS including the storage and tracking of radiation dose information at ECR 2013. "We are laying the groundwork to support cumulative dose tracking, which is an important patient care initiative worldwide," said Cristine Kao, Carestream's Global Marketing Manager for Healthcare Information Solutions.
Carestream will showcase its innovative CS 9300 System, a high-quality cone beam CT (CBCT - 3D imaging) and true panoramic imaging system for ENT and dental indications at the European Congress of Radiology 2013.
