Agfa HealthCare Gains Top 10 Ranking in Prestigious German Lünendonk Listing

Agfa HealthCareAgfa HealthCare announces that its German operations, Agfa HealthCare GmbH, have been ranked 8th in the 2012 edition of the well-known Lünendonk Listing of the top 25 software companies in Germany. The increased ranking is partly based on the company's annual revenue. In the same timeframe, the number of employees at Agfa HealthCare GmbH increased from 701 to 742.

Agfa HealthCare GmbH moved up 4 places over the previous year's result, to the 8th position. Aside from CompuGroup Medical (6th position) and AOK Systems (15th position), the Bonn-based company is the only vendor active exclusively in the healthcare sector. The listing reflects an increase of revenues in Germany compared with the previous year, and a staff increase of 41 employees.

"These figures demonstrate the positive developments taken by the company. In particular, the healthcare IT business has been growing very strongly," highlights Winfried Post, General Manager, Agfa HealthCare GmbH. "The healthcare IT and medical technology markets are advancing well. We are confident that we will be able to continue to increase our revenues in the coming years."

Market research and consulting company Lünendonk GmbH has published its well-known, annual Lünendonk Listings since 1984. The listings focus on the leading consulting, software and IT services companies operating in the German market. Annual vendor surveys are used to develop the lists, with evaluations performed based on detailed information provided by the companies surveyed, as well as information from reliable secondary sources.
