TunstallTunstall Healthcare will be showcasing its latest solutions for delivering better for less in social care at this year's National Children and Adult Services conference. Delegates will be able to explore services to support social inclusion, self-management of long-term conditions and wellbeing, as well as finding out more about the exciting new possibilities represented by the growth of digital technology.

The workshop, Transforming the client experience with Better Care Technology will describe exciting new models and outcomes of technology enabled care in different settings including:

1. Calderdale - using telecare and telehealth with an MDT to help reduce hospital admissions from care home
2. Blackburn with Darwen - supporting people with complex needs using integrated technologies
3. One Housing Group - Kevin Bierne shares his experience of using technology to improve outcomes and efficiency
4. Spanish Model - Unique ‘proactive prevention services' model

The workshop takes place at 9.00am on Friday 16th October, and will be chaired by Linda Sanders, ADASS Telecare Lead and Strategic Director: People at Wolverhampton.

Visitors to the Tunstall stand will have the opportunity to receive a copy of the newly launched ADASS Carers Guide to Technology, a toolkit designed to raise awareness and promote good practice. As well as giving case study examples, the report also covers top five things advisers and commissioners need to challenge when looking at technology enabled care to help support carers.

Delegates can also find out more about the ADASS Better Care Technology evidence pack, which is available following a survey of members last year to establish a national picture of telecare service delivery. The evidence pack can be found at adass.org.uk, and contains service success stories, best practice examples and powerful people stories.

Also available on the stand is the ADASS Standards and Performance document, Developing a series of metrics for telecare - Improving quality and outcomes and Alzheimer’s Society Dementia-friendly technology guide.
