Tunstall Response Achieves Prestigious TSA Platinum Award

TunstallTunstall Response is delighted to announce they have achieved the exacting new standards set by the Telecare Services Association (TSA). As a result Response has been awarded the prestigious Platinum level status.

The Centre currently monitors around 120,000 telecare connections 24 hours a day, 7 days a week from their state-of-the-art monitoring centre in Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Their highly trained, highly skilled specialist workforce helps to protect over half a million people in their own homes, sheltered housing developments and workplaces throughout the UK. Each day the Centre receives 3500-4000 calls.

A core performance standard in achieving platinum status is that 98.5% of emergency calls are consistently answered in under 60 seconds.

The TSA audited all aspects of the Monitoring Centre, including not only time taken to answer calls, but also that all appropriate procedures are followed, that sensitive personal data is well protected and that staff are well trained and work in comfortable conditions.

Ruth Duckels, Response Operations Manager commented "For such a large monitoring centre to achieve Platinum status is a real achievement. This is testament to the hard work of all our 100 staff. It is important to all of us that we provide our customers with the very best service possible, and this award is recognition of exactly that."
