Advanced eHealth Country Reports on eHealth ERA Project Website

empiricaThe database of the eHealth ERA Project coordinated by empirica includes a number of extended country reports. They provide details of national eHealth strategy and implementation activities in Europe.

The purpose of the database is to enhance knowledge about eHealth activities and to facilitate co-operation between states and regions in the field of eHealth.

The database includes documents about national eHealth priorities, strategies, roadmaps and RTD programmes in all EU Member States, the Candidate Country of Turkey as well as Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland. Most documents can be accessed through a hyperlink to the original website.

The database began by providing links to documents about national eHealth activities. eHealth policy fact sheets for almost all European countries were added later and this is the third step in extending the database. It can be accessed via the eHealth ERA Project website.

About eHealth ERA Project
The overall goal of the eHealth ERA Project is to support Member State innovation-oriented eHealth RTD, identify opportunities for multilateral joint activities, and take steps towards further integration of eHealth deployment and implementation across countries. Towards this end, the project will contribute to

  • greater transparency across Member States with regard to eHealth strategies, RTD policies, and the current state of eHealth implementation,
  • identification and analysis of priority deployment goals and RTD needs,
  • exchange of experience in developing and managing eHealth strategies and programmes,
  • preparation of sustainable mechanisms for trans-national cooperation between Member States for mutual benefit.
Participating countries will thus benefit from an exchange of key information about ongoing activities and lessons learned in other countries, a better understanding of eHealth RTD and implementation in Member States, and an analysis of common priorities and opportunities for concerted actions.
