Successful EU support: MobilAlarm device available at the market

empiricaAs of May 2007, the mobile emergency device that was tested in the international project MobilAlarm will be marketed. empirica co-ordinated this project from April 2004 to August 2005. The European Commission supported MobilAlarm in the framework of its programme eTEN electronic Trans-European Networks.

Thus, MobilAlarm is an example of how the European Commission can help innovative product and service ideas to the market. Initially, the device will be offered in Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, and Slovakia. In Germany, the Vitaris company (www.vitaris-gmbh.de), previously named Attendo Systems and main industry partner in the MobilAlarm project, offers the device as "Vitaris Mobile".
