Roche in Ireland offers you a unique and exciting opportunity to provide strategic leadership and to shape the new role of Head of Healthcare Innovation Skill Centre. As the Head of Healthcare Innovation you are an enthusiastic advocate of your area of expertise and are responsible for the upskilling of the people in your Skill Centre through development and coaching. You are ultimately responsible for sustaining effective operations to ensure transformation of the environment for future healthcare, developing partnerships with public and private stakeholders and enhancing Roche’s reputation in leading healthcare innovation.

Reporting to the General Manager key responsibilities will include

  • Lead the co-creation of the Skill Centre’s vision, mission and operating model aligned to the company’s strategy and goals.
  • Develops functional expertise and ensure Skill Centre members are equipped to perform their job the best they can specifically in the areas of
    • Innovating Healthcare, especially Beyond the Pill initiatives, by developing new opportunities through partnerships with public and private stakeholders
    • Health technology and digital transformation
    • Future Healthcare environment shaping (Government Affairs)
    • Corporate reputation (External Communication)
  • Coach Skill Centre members and support the development of their technical and soft skills
  • Drive performance excellence
  • Build innovation capabilities and develop a Roche Innovation Hub
  • Create a dynamic and fluid environment through upskilling in different tasks across the Skill Centre
  • Is a member and strategic contributor of the Leadership Team
  • Creates and safeguards the new culture in the skill centre, e.g. champion for agility and cultural change, role models a Growth Mindset and new ways of working
  • Collaborates with the other Skill Centre Heads where needed to deliver the company’s strategy and goals and enables knowledge sharing across the centres.
