InterSystems Wins Frost & Sullivan 2012 European Company of the Year Award in Integrated Connected Health Technologies

InterSystemsInterSystems Corporation, a global leader in software for connected care, has been awarded the Frost & Sullivan 2012 European Company of the Year Award in Integrated Connected Health Technologies. Frost & Sullivan cited InterSystems for both its product innovation and its ability to deliver excellent customer value. In particular Frost & Sullivan’s analysts praised the InterSystems HealthShare® strategic informatics platform, which it described as "a one-stop solution that enables users to capture, share and understand and act on all their data, both structured and unstructured".

InterSystems was benchmarked against its competitors in five key areas:

  • Degree of innovation with products and technologies
  • Leadership in customer value
  • Growth strategy excellence
  • Growth implementation excellence
  • Leadership in market penetration

"The importance of integrated, connected care cannot be overstated as a key requirement for the next generation of healthcare informatics. With the ability to continuously derive value from their information and make it actionable at the point of care, health organisations can achieve the breakthrough transformation they need to address the challenges of managing costs while improving the quality of care," said Dominick Bizzarro, Global Business Manager, InterSystems HealthShare.

InterSystems HealthShare is a strategic healthcare informatics platform for hospitals, integrated delivery networks, and regional and national health information exchanges.

It is built on the InterSystems Caché® database and InterSystems Ensemble® integration platform. InterSystems DeepSee provides embedded real-time business intelligence capabilities, and InterSystems iKnow provides the ability to discover concepts and relationships within unstructured data.

The judges highlighted InterSystems' successful nationwide projects in countries including Sweden, Denmark, the Netherlands, and Scotland. They also cited InterSystems' growing reputation as a creative technology partner focused on advancing its implementation technology and post-implementation support to ensure customers achieve and exceed the expected value.

"Frost & Sullivan believes that InterSystems’ business strategy is customer-focused, and this has helped it to provide technologies that are widely used in the healthcare space. Its applications embed interoperability, analytics and other key components, which help its customers gain a competitive edge. All of these factors help InterSystems emerge as the worthy recipient of the 2012 Frost & Sullivan Company of the Year Award in the European Integrated Connected Health Technologies Market," said Divyaa Ravishankar, Senior Research Analyst, Healthcare and Lifescience IT, Frost & Sullivan.

"This award is excellent recognition for the work we are doing in Europe," said Jonathan Selby, UK & Ireland Country Manager at InterSystems. "We are continuing to grow our footprint in the European market by delivering outstanding technical innovation, real value for our partners and customers, and a connected care strategy that is ultimately focused on improving patient outcomes."
