Pflegetiger Adds Digital Health Ventures as New Investor, Accelerates Growth

PflegetigerSince summer 2016, Pflegetiger has been developing its innovative concept of neighborhood care, a concept designed to make in-home care attractive for care professionals again. The company's revolutionary approach - characterized by a decentralized organization model, the combination of everyday tasks and prescribed medical services, and the use of modern technology throughout all processes - has received a lot of attention in the German care industry ever since. Currently, Pflegetiger employs more than 90 care professionals serving to over 500 customers on a weekly basis.

"The successfully implementation of our concept in Berlin has proven that now is the time to fundamentally rethink in-home care in order to counteract the ever-increasing shortage of care professionals," says Constantin Rosset, one of the company's founders. The expertise of Berlin-based Digital Health Ventures in the digital health space will play a key role in the further realization of Pflegetiger's vision. Adds Rosset, "by further developing our own technology as the foundation of our concept, we'll take the working conditions of our care professionals to a new level. An expansion to other cities has now almost come within our reach."

Pflegetiger is continuing to expand its digital platform, allowing for the integration of more partners into the patients' care. This is setting a new benchmark in the quality of in-home care and ensures that more care recipients can remain in their own homes longer than previously possible.

Guido Hegener, managing partner of DHV, is full of praise for what the company has reached in little more than a year: "We were impressed by how the speed at which the founders have managed to successfully establish Pflegetiger as a reliable option for patients as well as an attractive employer for care professionals. We're looking forward to accompanying Pflegetiger as they further professionalize their market, leveraging digital technology to make in-home care more efficient."
