Future50: Nominate the Top Healthcare IT Leaders in Europe

HIMSS Europe has launched Future50 supported by IBM Watson Health, a new flagship initiative that aims to identify and bring together the top 50 leaders in European Healthcare IT in a community that will further the field's transformation. Ultimately, Future50 will become a high-level European community of leaders that will contribute its expertise, collaborate over borders and foster innovation both individually as well as a group.

HIMSS Europe will provide the community exposure in HIMSS Europe media and events. Community members also receive HIMSS Europe Individual Membership for a year, as well as complimentary passes to various HIMSS Europe or UK events year-round.

The nomination process will consider individuals at all levels including c-suite, front line professionals, patient advocates, policy makers, entrepreneurs and many more who are at the forefront of leading the e-Health agenda. The individuals nominated must be based in a European country.

Sarah Bruce, Director of Media for HIMSS Europe said: "The Future50 is the first initiative of its kind to recognise excellence and innovation in healthcare IT at a Pan-European level. By recognising both established and, more importantly, fresh talent in the sector our aim is to promote best practice and forward thinkers in order to transform health and care through IT."

Nominations can be submitted by anyone from healthcare providers, governments, not for profit organisations as well as IT vendors nominating their customers. Individuals can self-nominate or can be nominated by someone who is familiar with the nominee’s professional background. The nomination must include short descriptions (100-200 words) of the nominee's proven excellence in a minimum of three out of the four following areas:
1. Leadership and ambition
2. Best Practice
3. Driving innovation and transformation
4. Improved patient care, experience or outcomes

Nominations can be made by submitting a proposal on www.himss.eu/future50.
