MedeAnalytics Makes Strategic Appointments to Support Growth Agenda

Wayne Parslow, Mike Smith and Helen Parslow have been appointed to the leadership team of MedeAnalytics, a leading provider of healthcare performance management and business intelligence solutions. They will be responsible for continuing to extend the success of the company in the evolving analytics market across UK healthcare including within Clinical Commissioning Groups, Commissioning Support Units, acute and social care, while expanding the company's footprint across existing and emerging markets in EMEA.

Wayne Parslow, who has more than 29 years experience in IT, has been appointed general manager for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) and Mike Smith has joined as chief technology officer. Meanwhile Helen Parslow, who has over 22 years experience of developing US software companies into the EMEA market has joined the company as director of marketing and business development for EMEA.

They are well-known for raising the profile of new technologies within the NHS and across Europe - through previously held positions at clinical portal and integration provider Carefx, which was acquired by Harris Healthcare and, previously, Imprivata. Their appointment is testament to the strategic importance MedeAnalytics places on international growth and for demonstrating the power of its solutions and the difference they can make to healthcare delivery.

Working together they have acquired a passion to transform healthcare through the use of better processes and systems. Wayne Parslow said that the move into business intelligence and analytics stems from a desire to see more NHS organisations use their own data and information to redesign services and improve outcomes more effectively.

He added: "In the past, working with healthcare organisations to implement different IT systems has been extremely rewarding but often frustrating as so many struggle to track and quantify their impact.

"The move to MedeAnalytics is a logical next step as their solutions enable many of these healthcare providers to track and analyse how their systems, working practices and pathways are impacting patient care and how they can address the challenges they face in those areas."

In addition to steering the company into new markets, Helen Parslow will play a significant role in motivating the customer to take the lead in their journey to understand the huge benefits that business analytics can deliver to transform patient care and also share best practices with other organisations.

Simon Rollanson, programme manager, Bedfordshire CCG said: "The well-publicised and acutely observed financial and social pressures impacting the NHS are increasingly highlighting the importance of organisations proactively managing the resources available to them. Central to this core business requirement is the timely provision, informed manipulation and expert analysis of the business intelligence fundamentals that define each organisation.

"It's extremely encouraging to see the positive developments taking place within MedeAnalytics as they continue to build their leadership team to underline their commitment to driving the continuing development of business intelligence services for healthcare professionals."

Andy Hurd, CEO and chairman of MedeAnalytics said: "Helen, Wayne and Mike join the company at an incredibly exciting time. Faced with an unprecedented challenge to do more with less, the NHS is increasingly investing in tools that help to collect data in real time and translate in into actionable information to enable them to address the challenges that they face."
