Lincor Wins Major Contract with World Renowned Great Ormond Street Hospital

Lincor SolutionsLincor Solutions has announced that it has won the contract to deliver bedside entertainment and education at Great Ormond St. Hospital, London.

Peter Wollaston, Head of Corporate Services at Great Ormond Street comments, "The hospital has very good feedback from patients and parents, with 94 per cent of them saying they were very satisfied or satisfied with the care they receive. However, some issues are persistently less satisfactory with bedside entertainment being one of them.

"We both need to ensure that children and young people are entertained, because boredom is a big issue for them, but also for longer stay patients, we can work with our on site school to keep up their education."

The first phase of the project, which will see Lincor's technology deployed at 220 bedsides, will go live in mid 2010 and will deliver enhanced entertainment and educations services to patients - with the flexibility at a later date to deliver secure access to Hospital Information Systems at the point-of-care.

Lincor's MEDIVista solution will provide a wealth of entertainment services including Freeview TV channels; internet; instant messaging; movies; radio including Radio Lollipop and will also allow the GOSH School to enhance its delivery of educational programmes to patients.

"We chose Lincor because their solution offered us the most comprehensive answer to our needs together with their track-record in delivering end to end solutions at other hospitals around the world," commented Peter Wollaston.

"The proven stability and reliability of the MEDIVista technology platform is paramount as we continue to work to improve the patient experience."

"We are obviously delighted Great Ormond Street Hospital choose Lincor as their partner and we are looking forward to delivering a world class solution at Great Ormond Street," commented Richard Cooke, CEO for Lincor Solutions.
