conhIT 2016 even Bigger and More International

The conhIT starts with excellent prospects into the hot preparation phase of its ninth edition. The exhibitor registrations for Europe's leading event for Health IT are well above previous year's level. In 2015 about 7,500 national and international professional trade visitors informed themselves at the 388 exhibitors from 14 countries about innovations, cost-effectiveness, security and improved quality through the use of IT in healthcare.

At conhIT 2016 numerous new international exhibitors have registered, including a joint stand from Estonia. For the first time the third hall of the Industrial Fair is fully occupied and the International Trade visitors from abroad are received by a lounge with accompanying programme. New in 2015 the mobile health ZONE will expand in 2016 with a new setup. In this area, established companies and start-ups show mobile solutions for medical experts and consumers.

All the market leaders as well as established SMEs in the sector will present themselves in the German capital. Ursula Baumann, Senior Project Manager of the conhIT at Messe Berlin: "The interest of the industry in the conhIT has continued to grow strongly. The partners and exhibitors were so pleased with the success of the last event, that they booked their exhibition areas much earlier or chose exclusive partner packages. In addition there are a number of exhibitors, who will be there for the first time."

More exhibitors from Austria and Switzerland are expected at conhIT. For the first time leading Estonian companies in digitization and IT in healthcare will present their innovative solutions in a joint stand, organized by Enterprise Estonia. Karin Alliksaar, Project Manager Enterprise Estonia: "Estonia has become a world class player in the field of digitalization with a number of successfully implemented pioneering solutions to show for it. For example in the Healthcare system, 90 % of the discharge notices are issued online as well as 93% of prescription medicine, issued by GP's and specialist consultants and around half of all ambulatory cases are sent electronically. Estonia is building a ground braking system with its Scandinavian neighbors which allows data to travel cross border in the healthcare system, allowing e-health solutions to flourish cross borders."

As in previous years trade visitor delegations from around the world announce their visit. In 2016 the conhIT is responding to the growing interest from abroad with an "International Lounge" by German Trade and Invest and a tailored programme offer. The "International Programme" includes sessions in the Congress, special guided themed tours through the fair as well as hospital excursions and workshops in which foreign visitors receive deep insight into IT of the German health system.

The National Association of Hospital IT Managers (KH-IT) and the Working Group of Directors of Medical Computing Centres at German University Clinics (ALKRZ) have provided contributions to the subject matter.
