Cells at Work: Imaging in Health and Disease

ENCITEENCITE invites to the 2nd Educational Workshop at the University in Mons, Belgium on May 18-19, 2010, within the framework of the 12th Bi-Annual Conference on Contrast Agents and Multimodal Molecular Imaging.

ENCITE's workshop will inform about outstanding findings as well as major aspects and latest advances related to the following key topics within cell imaging: In vivo imaging of patho-physiological processes, imaging cell functions (microscopy & imaging); imaging and cell therapy; imaging and nanotechnology; imaging-guided drug delivery.

The workshop is open to radiologists, medical scientists, physicists, biologists, technicians and phD students, with expertise in MR, optical imaging probe development or related fields. Attendance is free of charge; pre-registration required.

About The European Institute for Biomedical Imaging Research (EIBIR)
The European Network for Cell Imaging and Tracking Expertise (ENCITE) is a Collaborative Project related to the theme "Cooperation Health - in vivo image-guidance for cell therapy" and is funded by the European Commission within the 7th Framework Programme for Research.

The project is coordinated by EIBIR, the European Institute for Biomedical Imaging Research, and started in June 2009.

The European Institute for Biomedical Imaging Research (EIBIR) is a non-profit limited liability company dedicated to the co-ordination of research. The network has the aim of co-ordinating and supporting the development of biomedical imaging technologies and the dissemination of knowledge with the ultimate goal of improving diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disease. The platform supports networking activities in research and is key to spreading good practice, promoting common initiatives and interoperability in the field of biomedical imaging research.
