Invitation to Participate at the 2010 Interoperability Showcase

2010 eHealth weekAt the 2010 World of Health IT Conference & Exhibition (WoHIT), taking place during 2010 eHealth week (March 15-18, 2010), a new approach is being investigated for the Interoperability Showcase. Besides the demonstration of the interoperability of commercial products, the 2010 Interoperability Showcase is aiming at displaying IHE-based EPR projects in Europe.

The Interoperability Showcase has traditionally demonstrated how easy it is for commercial products to interoperate when IHE (Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise) is supported. Clinical scenarios have been demonstrated to help the public understand how technical frameworks such as IHE, enable access to healthcare information and encourages its adoption using existing products.

eHealth week 2010 is a conference & exhibition, encompassing the the High Level eHealth Conference and WoHIT. The event is dedicated to truly enhance ICT for healthcare across Europe, attracting government decision makers and industry leaders alike. eHealth week 2010 is the ideal venue to be visible in the Interoperability Showcase.

Should you represent a regional, national, European-wide project or initiative that uses IHE as its technical framework for interoperability, and would like to show the benefits of your project in the WoHIT and e-Health Conference 2010, Interoperability Showcase, please, send us a short e-mail of interest and contact data before Wednesday, November 4th 2009 to:
Octavio Barbero
Project Manager for IHE Interoperability Showcase

About the High Level eHealth Conference 2010
Co-organised by the forthcoming Spanish Presidency of the European Union and by the European Commission, with the cooperation of the Regional Government of Catalonia and the Foundation TicSalut, the High Level eHealth Conference 2010 is a ministerial event, representing since 2003 an important annual milestone in the field of ICT for healthcare. The conference theme of this 8th edition - "eHealth for Sustainable Healthcare Delivery: global challenges through local actions" - acknowledges the pressing perspective of a rapidly ageing European society, where the progressively extended life expectancy and the consequent increase in the prevalence of chronic diseases are globally posing serious challenges to the sustainability of national health systems. The conference will present how and why eHealth can make the difference in facing such a global challenge. Visit www.ehealthweek2010.org for more information.
