CompuGROUP Just Ahead of Target with Strong First Quarter 2008 Results

CompuGROUP Holding AGWith its first-quarter results, 2008 has started well for CompuGROUP. Compared with first quarter 2007, group revenues rose 13.9%, to EUR 47.5 million. Buoyed by the strong revenues and efficient overheads that remained unchanged, the Group's EBITDA of EUR 12.8 million was 10.2% higher than a year ago. Reported Group profits rose to EUR 5.0 million in the first quarter of 2008, up EUR 2.1 million (or 74.6%) from first quarter 2007. Cash Net Income surged 33.3%, to EUR 9.5 million, up from EUR 7.1 million in Q1 2007. "These three months have enabled us to plan the foundations for the rest of the year," said Frank Gotthardt, Chairman of the Management Board of CompuGROUP Holding AG.

In February 2008, ISPro GmbH, a Group subsidiary, entered into an agreement with HELIOS Kliniken-Gruppen (Fresenius Health Care Group). In the future, the 60 HELIOS Clinics will communicate with referring general practitioners using ISPro's jesa-ja.net. This will increase the CompuGROUP subsidiary's market share for referrer portals to over 85%.

In addition, in February the Madrid Physicians Association (ICOMEM) awarded a contract to the Group's Spanish holding company Medigest Consultores S.L. for the electronic networking of more than 15,000 doctors. This project will thus lead to about a million patients being served by "vita-X" medical records and by the CompuGROUP's "Cordoba" network solution.

CompuGROUP subsidiary systema Deutschland GmbH's 100% acquisitions of fliegel data GmbH and herbert dahm datensysteme GmbH will bring about a significant expansion in the Group's position on the German hospital market. Almost every other German hospital is now using a software product made by CompuGROUP.

Allgemeine Krankenhaus Wien (AKH), one of Austria's largest clinics, hired CompuGROUP subsidiary systema Human Information Systems GmbH in March to implement an on-duty shift scheduling system for its 7,000 employees. The software package that was implemented is designed to provide massive improvements in efficiency in the management of employee shifts.

In March, CompuGROUP subsidiary GTI AG and the Technicians Health Insurance Fund successfully won recognition in the Financial Times Deutschland's "Health Care Industry Idea Park" competition. CompuGROUP's DocPortal, a knowledge platform selected by an independent jury from among 63 entries, is thus one of the leading innovations on the target market.

Outlook
Based on the first quarter of 2008, CompuGROUP Holding AG maintains its EBITDA objective of at least EUR 65 million and Group revenues of at least EUR 215 million for 2008.
