BridgeHead Announces Integrated Protection and Recovery for Caché® Databases
BridgeHead Software has announced its Data Protection Suite for InterSystems Caché® databases, a backup and recovery solution that fully integrates with Caché to provide rapid and reliable management of hospital data. InterSystems Caché ® is an advanced object database at the heart of many hospital applications, including Electronic Medical Records (EMR) applications from Allscripts, Epic Systems, GE Healthcare, McKesson, Siemens, as well as InterSystems themselves. 
Agfa HealthCare has successfully implemented its latest IMPAX picture archiving and communication system (PACS) and radiology information system (RIS) at Isala Clinics in the Netherlands. Following a visit to Agfa HealthCare's demo site in Liege, Isala recognized that the solution would answer its needs for greater stability, very fast speed and excellent speech recognition. 
Royal Philips Electronics (NYSE: PHG, AEX: PHIA) announced that healthcare currency-comparable equipment order intake increased by 7% year-on-year, with both Imaging Systems and Patient Care & Clinical Informatics showing growth. Comparable sales were flat year-on-year as the growth at Customer Services, Patient Care & Clinical Informatics and Home Healthcare Solutions was offset by a decline at Imaging Systems due to soft order intake in the previous quarters. 
Anoto, a leader in digital writing technology, announced that it has won the 'Technology & IT to improve Patient Safety' award at the annual Patient Safety Award dinner held at the prestigious Grosvenor House Hotel in London. Anoto won the award for the work it has done with the Gwent Frailty Programme in Wales. 
Installation of a CARESTREAM DRX-Revolution Mobile X-ray System has led to a 50% reduction in X-ray dosage at the 564-bed University Hospital Tenon, Paris, which is part of the public health system APHP. Figures have been validated by a member of the Personnes Compétentes en Radioprotection (PCR), a nationwide network of Radiation Protection Officers.
