Europe's leading Network in the field of digital health is expanding into the DACH region. The Catalyst programme, hosted and driven by digital health specialists D Health, is the first international network covering digital health in the German-speaking countries and will be supported by D Health's new office opening in Berlin in September 2015.

Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust (C&I) has begun a digital revolution to improve its mental health services. The Trust has successfully gone live with 'Carenotes', a leading Electronic Patient Record system (EPR) from Advanced Health & Care (Advanced). This next generation EPR solution went live on 8th September meeting ambitious delivery targets following completion of a focussed two-year project. 
Carestream is expanding into new imaging modalities, including cone beam CT, and key advances were demonstrated at the recent British Orthopaedic Association (BOA) Annual Congress conference held in Liverpool, UK, where a conceptual scale model of cone beam CT was on display. 
An online self-triage and patient information service that cut hundreds of unnecessary GP appointments in a pilot study is now available to surgeries across the country from EMIS Health. Practices signing up to eConsult can provide patients with a website link to self-help information; signposting to alternative services; and a symptom checker which can help them establish whether they need a GP appointment. 
NHS England has accredited healthcare open source pioneer IMS MAXIMS as a supporter to its Code4Health initiative, marking another key milestone in the drive to open source technology in the NHS. 
UNICEF and The Philips Foundation, together with Concern Worldwide, Maker and Gearbox, have launched the Maternal and Newborn Health Innovations Project, to help save lives and improve the health of pregnant women and children in Kenya.
