Siemens Healthcare is launching the Mammomat Inspiration Prime Edition - the first mammography system that lowers patient dose up to 30 percent without compromising image quality. The Mammomat Inspiration Prime Edition lowers dose by replacing the standard scatter radiation grid with a new algorithm for progressive image reconstruction.

In both the Artis Q and Artis Q.zen series, the new X-ray tube can help to identify small vessels up to 70 percent better than conventional X-ray tube technology. 
Carestream Health has signed a contract to supply their latest RIS/PACS solution to both Taunton and Somerset NHS Foundation Trust and Yeovil District Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. Given the choice of procurement options and collaborations available to procure the replacement IT solution, the Trusts decided to work collaboratively in sourcing their preferred PACS/RIS solution and opted to use the NHS Supply Chain Framework to purchase these from Carestream. 
Agfa HealthCare has signed a new contract with the Refaja Hospital to implement Agfa HealthCare's latest IMPAX Radiology Information System/Picture Archiving and Communication System (RIS/PACS). The new solution is scheduled to be implemented from December 2012 through February 2013, and go live in March 2013. Tunstall Healthcare Ltd is a lead partner in an innovative telehealthcare project implemented in Andalusia, Spain, which integrates social care information with calls to emergency services to provide a more efficient response to people requiring help in a crisis.
