The ICT 2008 Exhibition intends to show concrete results of research in and around Europe related to information and communications technologies. This call for exhibition ideas is open to any organisation involved in European research and development as well as deployment projects and associated support activities.

The Network for Integrated Systems in Telemedicine (NEST) invites Russian and German healthcare/telemedicine experts from 14th to 16th April, 2008 (Moscow) for a workshop combining lectures and dialogues between representatives of the Charité University Medicine Berlin and the Russian Medical State University.

The European Commission's Information Society and Media Directorate General published the report of the TeleHealth2007 conference. This conference provided a first overview and introduction to all the reasons why the European Commission is beginning to explore the possibilities for a future action plan for Europe on telemedicine. It would be published in the context of a Commission Communication.

The World of Health IT Conference & Exhibition (WoHIT) Organizing Committee welcomes the European Federation for Medical Informatics (EFMI) as a new member for the 2008 Conference. The conference will be held in Copenhagen, Denmark on Nov. 4-6, 2008. The EFMI supports healthcare informatics and all disciplines concerned with healthcare and informatics; 30 countries are now members of the organisation.

The European Congress of Radiology has been held in Vienna every two years since 1991 and, due to its large success, annually since 1999. As the established location for the ECR, the world cultural capital of Vienna, with its rich artistic heritage and unmistakable Viennese flair, offers the ideal backdrop for a scientific event of this magnitude.

Since its establishment in Vienna in 1991, together with the organising ECR Office, the ECR has grown into the second largest medical meeting in Europe and the second largest radiological congress worldwide. It has continued to evolve and refine itself ever since, in terms of science, education, supporting programmes, and services. The increasing number of submitted abstracts and their improving quality bear witness to the continuing excellence of ECR's scientific programme.
