Accenture (NYSE: ACN) and SAP AG (NYSE: SAP) announced a global agreement to co-develop a collaborative health network (CHN) solution, which is designed to help healthcare organizations improve patient care by streamlining the way they access, integrate and share information. 
TietoEnator has acquired the entire share capital in the German healthcare IT provider Cymed AG. The company specialises in hospital information solutions and hygiene software for hospitals and laboratories. TietoEnator has acquired Swedish Laps Care AB from parent company Optimal Solutions AB. Laps Care specialises in IT support for resource optimisation in elderly care, home care and home nursing. TietoEnator and the German company Marabu EDV GmbH have agreed to the closer integration of the widely used hospital information system (HIS) iMedOne® with Marabu's archiving system PEGASOS®. 
EnBW Energie Baden-Württemberg AG has acquired a minority interest in the eHealth specialist InterComponentWare AG (ICW). The additional capital is intended to accelerate the further development of the innovative ICW networking solutions, and to reinforce the international market presence of the company. The eHealth specialist InterComponentWare (ICW) has submitted its connector "Medical NTBA" for approval to Gematik, the German operation company for the national electronic health card. The approval is a prerequisite for the application of the connector in official test regions for the electronic health card. 
Agfa HealthCare announces today that the AZ Monica acute care hospital in Antwerp, Belgium, has contracted Agfa HealthCare to install ORBISâ¢, Agfa HealthCare's comprehensive hospital and clinical IT system.
