Advanced Health & Care (Advanced), a leading provider of IT management systems for the health and care sectors, has achieved the ITK (Interoperability Toolkit) accreditation from the Department of Health (DH). Advanced gained the accreditation for its leading clinical patient management system, Adastra. 
Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (Boston, Mass.), a teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School, purchased four CARESTREAM DRX-Revolution Mobile X-Ray Systems to provide immediate access to high-resolution images in multiple intensive care units that serve trauma, cardiac, surgical and other critical care patients. 
Agfa HealthCare will launch its SKINTELL* high-definition optical coherence tomography (HD-OCT) solution at the 21st congress of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology (EADV) in Prague. This non-invasive imaging technology allows the examination of the epidermal morphology and superficial dermis, potentially avoiding a biopsy. Carestream Health and Bruker have entered into an agreement for Bruker to purchase the preclinical in-vivo imaging equipment product portfolio and related assets from Carestream's Molecular Imaging business. Financial terms of the agreement are not being disclosed. 
Building on its foundation of fighting breast cancer, Royal Philips Electronics (NYSE: PHG, AEX: PHIA) has announced the launch of a multi-year, global commitment to support Breast Cancer Awareness across all sectors of its business. The campaign aims to raise awareness, support research and inspire and educate women through a range of activities within and outside the organisation, such as expert Q&A sessions and inspiring illuminations. For a number of years, Carestream's popular Fit For Screening (FFS) workshop has visited Poland. This year's workshop will take place in Warsaw on 19th - 20th October and as usual will be presented by eminent clinician Prof. Dr. Roland Holland of the National Expert and Training Centre for Breast Cancer Screening in Nijmegen, The Netherlands.
